With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Allen James Westra of Platte, South Dakota, who passed away on December 6, 2024 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Allen James has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Nancy; and his father James Westra (Vince). He is survived by: his children, Vince (Nijla), Faye and Tara; his grandchildren, Malachi, Keegan and Olivia; his mother Donna Westra; and his brother Bob Westra.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the American Legion (544 Main St, Platte, SD 57369).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be directed to Faye Westra at 5500 W 44th Street Apt 6 Sioux Falls, SD 57106.
