He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Johnson and Ida Johnson (Nessett); his wife Lucille Johnson; his son Larry Johnson; his granddaughter Lisa Stotz; and his siblings, Adolph, Andy, Garfield, John, Rudy Johnson, Gladys Sletten, Josephine Thesinga and Ferne Graves.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Johnson (Dawn) of Platte, SD, David Johnson (Georgia) of Platte, SD, Sheila Fletcher (Wayne) of Mission Hill, SD, Cheryl Anderson (Bruce) of Canton, SD, Sarah Hoffman (Bob) of Platte, SD and Karla Pickard (Steve) of Pierre, SD; and his daughter-in-law Wanda Johnson of Platte, SD. He is also survived by many grandchildren, step grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.
