He was loved and cherished by many people including: his former wife Dianna Hinrichs; his wife Dianna Smith of Plankinton, SD; his children, Trina Johnson (Lee) of Alexandria, SD, Renae Gerlach (Gaylurd) of Stickney, SD, Sheila Grieve (Travis) of Plankinton, SD and Shawn Smith of Mitchell, SD; his grandchildren, Casondra, Brianna, Ashton Gerlach, Trent, Hayden, Kaleb Johnson, Braden, Lucas Grieve, Andrew Smith (Shawnda), Brittany Smith (Chris), Cynthia Heinis and Sarah Birmeier; his great grandchildren, Emmit Smith, Charlotte, Chandler Filter, Gavin and Dylan Smith; his mother Joyce Smith of Central Point, OR; his sister Teresa DeLude (Ray) of Central Point, OR; his parents-in-law, Merle Hinrichs of Wessington Springs, SD, Bryon Hinrichs (Brenda) of Wessington Springs, SD, Judy Lindhorst of Wecota, SD, Marcia Hohn (Darrell) of Beresford, SD and Laura Hinrichs (Greg) of Flandreau, SD; his father Norman Smith; his mother-in-law Ada Hinrichs; his brother-in-law Larry Lindhorst; and his grandson Brandon Smith. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and friends.
