She was predeceased by: her parents, Sanford Meulen and Christine Vander Meulen (Beute); her husband Eldred Sams; and her siblings, Winifred (Robert), Ruth Ann (Gene) and Jake.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jewel Rae Tanquary (Raymond) of Conover, NC and Crystal Williams (Dee) of Lincoln, NE; her grandchildren, Colter, Haeli Grice and Joel Sams; and her siblings, Sandra and Herman (Ina).
