She was predeceased by: her parents, Phillip Chief Eagle and Sophie Kate Brown Ear; her siblings, Joseph Chief Eagle and Bertha White Bull; her children, Phillip Elk Boy, Jr. and Angelina Red Cloud; her grandsons, Michael Tobacco and Dusty Louis Tobacco; and her niece Shirley Bell.
She is survived by: her son Petaga Catches; her grandchildren, TJ Elk Boy, Tanya Elk Boy, Dallas Tobacco, Legend Tobacco, Essence Tobacco, Larietta and April Catches; her sister Ella Coleman; and her niece Carol Wounded.
A wake was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 1:30 PM and on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 12:00 PM at the #4 Payabaya Community Building (4 Community-U. S. HWY 18, Pine Ridge, SD 57770). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
