It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louis Gene McGaa (Pine Ridge, South Dakota), who passed away on September 2, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis O. McGaa and Hester L. McGaa (Cuny); his sisters, Ann Gerving (Gerry) and Marcia; and his wife Aloma Laverne.

He is survived by: his siblings, Roebota Rhodes (Don) and Greg McGaa (Frances); his parents-in-law, Gerry Harrison (Richard), Leiloni Lynch and Leonard Lynch; his siblings, LouElla, Mary and Charles; his sisters-in-law, Gerry and Leilani; his children, Chris McGaa and Rose McGaa; and his grandchildren, Aloma, Mikailyn McGaa, Cailtin Kennedy and Rose.
