He was predeceased by: his parents, Anita Murdock (Charles) and Frank Murdock, Sr.; his sisters, Joann Scott (Wally) and Jean Stanshaw (Sam); his parents-in-law, Esther Richards-Ecoffey and Frank Ecoffey; his nephew Galen; and his cousin Kenny Charles.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Murdock (Ecoffey) of Pine Ridge, SD; his children, Mike Hayes (Deb) of Rapid City, SD, Matt Farrell (Jessica) of Chico, CA, Frank Murdock III (Carrie) of Pine Ridge, SD, Joseph Murdock, Joe Amiotte, Sr., Starla Murdock (Jon Vaske) of Brookings, SD, Halona Murdock of Pine Ridge, SD and Angela Holy Rock (Jonas) of Rapid City, SD; and his sister Sue Painter (Matthew) of Eureka, CA. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
A wake was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (30236 US-18, Pine Ridge, SD 57770). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Cathoilc Church (30236 US-18, Pine Ridge, SD 57770).
