With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Darrell John Steele of Pine Ridge, South Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 5, 2024 at the age of 65. He was predeceased by: his parents, Darrell, Sr. Steele and Catherine "Cassie" Steele (Hall); his sisters, Dolly Steele, Tinky Steele and Darla Joy Steele; his grandparents, Harry Steele, Jenny Steele (Carlow), Raymond Tapio and Bertha Tapio (Janis); his niece Michelle Joy Pourier; and his nephew Jordan "Turtle" Steele.
He is survived by: his children, Stacey Hill, Elizabeth Steele-Martinez, Harry John Steele (Christina Crazy Thunder), Darrell John Steele III and Brittany Steele; his siblings, Mitch Pourier, Richard Steele, Dean Steele, Connie Pourier, Darby Steele and Lolly Steele; his aunts, Jean Good Crow and Betty Wilson; his grandchildren, Kolbe John Steele, Baylee Little, Michelle Steele, Gage Steele, Edgar Martinez, Cassie Martinez, Leliana, Daniel, Nathaniel, Rachel, Ezra and Jeremiah Sims; and his niece Luwana "Cakes" Janis. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
