Velma E. Becker Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 23, 2023, at the age of 86, Velma E. Becker of Pierre, South Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Felix Ryther and Avis Ryther (Kinghorn); and her siblings, Florence, Carl, Donald and William.
She is survived by: her husband Elwin Becker; her son Michael; and her brother Robert Ryther (Marva) of Belle Fourche, SD. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
During this time period, she was also awarded a National Science Foundation Grant and received her Master's Degree in 1970 from Colorado State University at Fort Collins after four summers of study.
