It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Arends (Pierre, South Dakota), born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away on January 20, 2019, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Arnold; her parents, Felix Geide and Ella Geide; her parents-in-law, Herman and Gertrude Arends; and her siblings, Lila Mae Anderson and Clair Geide.
She is survived by: her children, Allan Arends (Jan) of Lead, SD, Lorrie Bacon (Doug) of Humboldt, IA and Sherrie Tracy (Ray) of Pierre, SD; her grandchildren, Nicole Kranz (Curt) of Watertown, SD, Casey Arends (Angie) of Watertown, SD, Tyler Bacon (Amanda) of Johnston, IA, Tara Dencklau (Seth) of Humboldt, IA, Heather Sandve (Ryan) of Tolstoy, SD and Shannon Fines (David Newman) of Ipswich, SD.; and her siblings, Earle Geide (Connie) of Hartford, SD, Jean Gregerson of Boulder, CO and Donna Rae Vogt (George) of Hartford. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and beloved friends.
