It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rodney Mednansky (Pierre, South Dakota), born in Kadoka, South Dakota, who passed away on January 13, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Mednansky and Juanita 'May' Mednansky (Shouldis); his sister Audrey Burnette; and his siblings-in-law, Harold, Shirley, Erna, Edna Wooden Knife and Floy Drake.

He is survived by: his wife Oleta Wooden Knife; his sons, Justin (Dena), Richard (Pegi) and Duane of White River; his grandchildren, Bailey, Sage, ShaRissa, Ashton, Logan and Taylor Mednansky; his great grandchild Paisley; his sister Janice; and his siblings-in-law, Ed Burnette, Ansel (Teresa), John (Kris), Erroll (Cindy), Scott Wooden Knife, Bertha Morrison (Leroy), Ruth and Mary Lou Wooden Knife.
