He was predeceased by: his parents, John Q. Anderson and Winifred Anderson; and his siblings, Quinton Anderson, Rillamae Fritzmeier and Bette Brown Johnson.

He is survived by: his pets, Sasha Dora, Darby Dollars and Sadie Seus; his wife Sandy; his sister Iris Elaine Anderson Bauer (Dave Kurtenbach) of Texas; his mother-in-law Lois Schmidt of Pierre; and also Fritzmeier. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
