He was predeceased by: his parents, Lanny Paulsen and Sharon Paulsen (Opdahl); and his grandparents, John, Catherine Paulsen, Howard and Agnus Opdahl.

He is survived by: his former wife Zoe Donahue; his daughter Tomlynn Marie (Jesse); his grandchildren, Ava, Brystol, Delilah, Emelia and Caspin; and his siblings, Kevin (Faye), Kim, Dan (Yesie), Brian (Tracey), Tammie Melby (Brent), Kristie Knutson (Nick) and Brad (Raelynn).
