With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Mike Pietz (Pierre, South Dakota), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. As we bid adieu to Mike's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Mike has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.

He was predeceased by : his father Clyde Pietz. He is survived by : his children, Peyton Stoltenburg (Levi) and Parker Pietz; his mother LaVaughn Pietz; his sister Marcia Zwanziger (Jon); his nephews, Aaron Zwanziger (Alyssa Groeneveld) and Adam Zwanziger (Morgan); his great-nieces, Willow and Palmer Zwanziger; and his pet Butch.

Visitation was held on Monday, June 17th 2024 from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM and at 6:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 18th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Lutheran Memorial Church (320 E Prospect Ave, Pierre, SD 57501). A burial was held on Tuesday, June 18th 2024 at the Riverside Cemetery (714 N Grand Ave, Pierre, SD 57501).
