He was predeceased by: his parents, Susan Walter and John Walter; his sister Betty Decker of Huron, SD; and his son-in-law Douglas Kraft of Timber Lake, SD.. He is survived by: his wife Lavonne; his children, Tausha Kraft (Guthrie), Tammy Stricherz (Chris), Tonia Thompson, Randi Spaid-Elder (Abram), Todd Walter (Chanda) and Rocky Spaid; his grandchildren, Cody Kraft (Morgan), Zach Stricherz (Brooke), Mallory Zemlicka (Brent), Tanner Kraft (Sierra), Tucker Kraft, Hunter Marso, Caleb Stricherz, Sidney Stricherz, Gracie Thompson and Ryler Elder; his great grandchildren, Henry, Lennox, Douglas and Reagan Kae; and his sister Shirlen Jones (Galen) of Rapid City, SD.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes are to plant a tree in memory of Michael John Walter.
