He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank R. Young and Minnie Young (Kreutzfeldt); his siblings, Forrest Young, Ed Young, Maxine Schultz and Dawn Hipple; his nephews, Todd Schultz, Steve Schultz and Tom Young; and his niece Kathy Baker.
He is survived by: his wife Hyacinth (Budnevitch) of Pierre; his son Jason (Krista) of Rapid City; his stepchildren, Sharon Johnson, Bernard Linn (Julie), James Linn of Pierre and Joseph Linn (Candace) of Fairfax, IA; his grandchildren, McKenzy Young (Heather), Natalie Young, John Young, Megan Bertsch (Adam), Sarah Linn, James Linn (Karen), Drew Johnson, Anna Johnson, Jenna Johnson, Jameson Linn (Faith), Mason Linn (JaLynn) and Parker Linn; and his nieces and nephews, Debra Bieser, Catherine Warwick, Brad Hipple, Scott Hipple, Brian Hipple, Mark Schultz, Russell Young, Barry Young and John Young. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
