She was predeceased by: her husband Fred Bown; her parents, Alonzo Forgey and Alta Forgey; her grandson Lance VonWald; and her nephew-in-law Ben Shoup (Buzz).
She is survived by: her children, Marilyn VonWald (Larry), Thomas Bown (Diane) and Marcia Cameron (Greg); her grandchildren, Robin Skillings, Lori VonWald, Leisa Gutierrez, Ross Bown, Chad Bown, Brittany Rosenthal, Joshua Cameron and Lucas Cameron; her sister Beverly Merrill; and her niece Loni Shoup. She is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren.
