Galen Theobald Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 5, 2020, at the age of 74, Galen Theobald formerly of Pierre, South Dakota, born in Emporia, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Galen Sr. Theobald and Bernice Theobald Webber; and his parents-in-law, Margie Ice and Cecil Ice. He is survived by: his wife Linda Theobald of Pierre; his children, Roger Theobald (Carolyn) of Pierre and Dee Crichton (Doug) of Sioux Falls; his grandchildren, Ashley, Sydney, Grady Theobald, Royal, Lucas and Alexis Crichton; and his brothers, Clayton (Nancy) of Brookings, Larry (Sarah) of Wasilla, AK, Daryl (Sherry) of Aberdeen and Alan (Robin) of Roswell, NM..
Due to COVID, there will be a public visitation on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, from 11:00am until 12:30pm at Isburg Funeral Chapel in Pierre, followed by a private family funeral service at 1:00pm and interment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Pierre.
Galen filed his final flight plan on November 5, 2020 in the Mabel's Memory Care Unit at Edgewood in Pierre, SD, after a long fought battle with Parkinson's disease, using up the last of his nine lives.
