It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Fern Lyngstad (Pierre, South Dakota), born in Mission Hill, South Dakota, who passed away on July 1, 2018, at the age of 105, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Thompson and Ruby Thompson; her husband Carl Lyngstad; her siblings, George Thompson, Lloyd Thompson, Harold Thompson, Gerald Thompson, Anna Olson, Mabel Anderson and Myrtle Clum; and her children, Shirley Houg and Dennis Lyngstad.
She is survived by: her sister Pearl Bak of Menno; and her children, Larry Lyngstad (Gail) of Pierre and Gloria Lyngstad of Brea. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
