She was predeceased by: her parents, Eleanor Wutsch and Joseph Wutsch; and her brothers, Wayne of Minneapolis, Conrad and Erich of Iroquois.
She is survived by: her husband Russell "Sonny" Carter of Pierre; her siblings, Edward (Deann) of Leesburg, Florida, Elaine Roi (Leo) of Sarasota, Esther Wutsch of Lake City and Elizabeth Rollison of Lake City, Florida; her stepchildren, Ronald Carter of Pierre and Denise Carlson of St. Germaine, Wisconsin; her brother Dick; and her sister-in-law Mary Carter of Pierre. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
