He was predeceased by: his parents, Loren Johnson and Junya Johnson (Munyon); his sister Darla Braun; his parents-in-law, William and Vay Chester; and his siblings-in-law, Bill Shoop, Tom Wauer, Keo Shoop and Mary Chester.
He is survived by: his wife Linda of Pierre; his children, Joette Nesladek (Jonathan) of Pierre, Ryan Johnson (Brittnie Adamson) of Pierre and Kayla Koob (Andrew) of Rock Rapids, IA; his grandchildren, Tate, Sadie Nesladek, Allison Johnson, Auna and Logan Koob; his siblings, Jolean Mitzel (James) and Richard Johnson (Linda); his brother-in-law Dale Braun; his nephews, Clinton Johnson and Eric Petersen; and his niece Sheila Mitzel. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
