He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Roosevelt and Fay McGruder (Buchanan); his siblings, Herman McGruder, Elnora Luttrell, Marion McGruder and Ann Russell; and his granddaughter Heather Unser.
He is survived by: his friend Earl Fanger; his wife Dorothy Spencer; his sons, Keith McGruder (Kim Helgeson) of Eyota, MN, Leo McGruder (Sandra) of Pierre, SD, David McGruder (Marlene) of Watertown, SD and Roger McGruder of Pierre, SD.; and his siblings, Maxine LeMay of Little Rock, AR, Bessie McDonald of Malvern, AR, Wayne McGruder (Carmen) of Kenosha, WI and Linda Reiswig of Mesa, AZ. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews along with a host of extended family members and friends.
