With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Caroline M. Sorensen in Pierre, South Dakota, who passed away on March 24, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Caroline departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Caroline. Though Caroline may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Coull and Addie Coull (Smith); her brother Clayton (Jean); her husband Bud; her daughter Barb Shoup; and her grandson Jeremy Truax.
She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Creager, Betty Truax and Sally Bunt.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (117 N Central Ave, Pierre, SD 57501). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. Caroline's retirement years were filled with the joy of volunteer work, including her time with RSVP at the hospital and reading to grade school children.
