He is survived by: his wife Eldena M. Foster of Midland; his children, Wayne Haerer Jr. (Nancy) of Green Valley, Bonna Fortune (Roger) of Quinn, Darwin Haerer (Betty) of Wall and Marla Sherburne (Jim) of Minnesota; his grandchildren, Bryan, Holly, Heather, Cory, Dar, Jr., Mindy, Joshua and Jennifer; and his great great grandchildren, McCrae, Reiney, Braxten and Ryker. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
