He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl William and Maude Neumann (Redman); his former wife Mickey; and his brother Ernest "Ernie" Neumann. He is survived by: his wife Gail of Pierre; and his children, John Neumann (Tabatha Swartz) of Cottonwood, Bill Neumann of Pierre and Cindy Bechard of Pierre. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
