Evelyn Abrahamson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Evelyn Abrahamson of Philip, South Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 18, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Douglas Abrahamson; her former husband Orris Skogen; her parents, John J. Gillaspie and Avis Gillaspie; her siblings, Ronald Gillaspie, Conrad Gillaspie (Marilyn), Rock Gillaspie and Mary Schofield; her siblings-in-law, James Hoyt, Vincent Schofield and Danette Gillaspie; and her nephews, Michael Schofield, Dean Joseph Gillaspie and Timothy Gillaspie.
She is survived by: her friend Doug Abrahamson; her close friend Ace; her stepchildren, Mitch Skogen (Dixie), Joni Trimble and Jodi Arneson (Mike); and her siblings, John Gillaspie, Marilyn Hoyt, Ken Gillaspie, Delores "Lori" Suminski (Carl) and James Gillaspie (Sharon).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (305 Elm St, Philip, SD 57567). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Silver Dollar Bar (12 N Main St, Bowman, ND 58623).
