He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald German and Beverly German (Fonder); his granddaughter Dani German; his stepmother Ann German; his grandparents, Giles, Leila Fonder, Theodore and Anna German; his sister Rita K German; and his in-laws, Ervin and Adeline Hahn.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Hahn; his children, Greg German (Nikki) of Peever, SD, Nancy Haggerty (Michael) of Aberdeen, SD and Daniel German (Heather) of Hartford, SD; his grandchildren, Alex German (Caitlyn), Angie German (Tyler), Monique Sterling (Aaron), Samantha German, Hudson German, Weston German, Ashley Haggerty, Alyssa Duncan (James), Abbigail Haggerty, Kaylee German and Brianna German; his great grandchildren, Paisley, Silas, Raileigh and Ella Haggerty; and his grandchildren, Hazel, Ben Duncan and Raelynne Sterling. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, & cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cahill Funeral Chapel (516 Cherry St E, Sisseton, SD 57262). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Peever Community Center.
