He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore German and Anna German (Johnson); his wife Beverly Ann Fonder; his daughter Rita Kay German; his great grandchild Dani German; and his siblings, Luverne, Vernon Dale, Raymond, Doris Eggers Wyman and Helen Lahammer.
He is survived by: his son Raymond German (Rita) of Peever, SD; his grandchildren, Greg German (Nikki) of Browns Valley, MN, Nancy Haggerty (Mike) of Aberdeen, SD and Daniel German (Heather) of Sioux Falls, SD; his brothers, Marlin German (Karen) of Watertown, SD and Carroll German (Dianne) of Jacksonville, FL; and his close friend Shirley Rolstad. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren; one great great-grandchild.
