He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustave Fuerst and Emilia Fuerst (Hanselman); his son Keith Fuerst; his siblings, Clara Miedema, Olga Rembold, Lorraine Schulz, Velda Pearson and Ruben Fuerst; his siblings-in-law, Ardith Reiser, Nancy Reiser, Agnes Neugebauer, Lillian Fuerst, Savin Miedema, Ervin Schulz, Eldridge Pearson, Ruben Rembold, Ruben Neugebauer, Norbert Neugebauer, David Reiser, Edward Reiser and Jerry Smith; and also Lillian Fuerst.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Reiser of Parkston; his children, Kevin Fuerst of Sioux Falls, SD and Kim Bialas (Perry) of Parkston; his daughter-in-law Cindy Fuerst of Pickstown, SD; his grandchildren, Patty (Bob), Bob and Dustin (Dani); his great grandchildren, Kelsey and Kamille; and his siblings-in-law, Rose Neugebauer, Dorothy Smith and Ben Reiser.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Parkston Congregational Church (209 W Teek St, Parkston, SD 57366). A prayer was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Parkston Protestant Cemetery (27585 411th Ave, Parkston, SD 57366).
