It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Margaret Scheetz of Parkston, South Dakota, who passed away on February 16, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin H. Geidel and Alma Geidel; her husband Harlan Scheetz; her grandson Cody Cox; her parents-in-law, Edward and Erna Scheetz; her siblings, Gilbert, Gerhard, Donald, Alvin, Harvey, Adelia Matzner, Leona Rogers, Evelyn Hoffman and Irma Geidel; and her in-laws, Lydia Geidel, Adeline Geidel, Katherine Heidinger, Ervin, Ruth Matzner, Merle Rogers, Raymond Neugebauer, Marvin Scheetz, Howard Geidel, Lambert Bialas and Marvin Hoffman.

She is survived by: her daughters, Mavis Smith of Fargo, ND, Marsha Jahr (Ken) of Arlington, MN, Pam Gossard (Jerry) of Gillette, WY and Lori Ohland (Nate) of Canton, SD; her grandchildren, Erin Schwanke (Tom), Samantha Cox, Ethan Ohland (Liz), Andrew Jahr, Bailie Quinones (Marco) and MaKenzie Gossard; her great grandchildren, Claire, Jacob Schwanke, Lennox and Nova Cox; her sister Nelda Neugebauer; and her in-laws, Dorothea Geidel, Gladys Geidel, Elvina Scheetz, David, Beverly Scheetz, Lois Bialas, Dwain, Kathy Scheetz, Gary Scheetz and Marilyn Castillo.

Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Prayer Service Faith Lutheran Church (201 W Cherry St, Parkston, SD 57366). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
