He is survived by: his wife Leona Pietz; his children, Sharon Baltzer of Mesa, AZ, Douglas Baltzer (Linda) of Mitchell and Alan Baltzer (Amy) of Rochester, MN; his grandchildren, Michael Sonne (Josie), Dylan Baltzer and Sophia Baltzer; and his brother Merlin Baltzer (Shirley) of Parkston. He is also survived by 2 step-grandchildren; 5 step-great-grandchildren.
