In the vast expanse of eternity, Karen Rae shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Karen Rae farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Waltner and Nora Waltner (Hargens); and her brother Gary. She is survived by: her husband Wayne Kaufman; her children, Brett Kaufman of Delmont, Rebecca Davis (DeWayne) of Elizabeth City, NC and Christa Helma (Jordan) of Milltown, SD; her grandchildren, Shannon Fischer (Logon) of Kaylor, SD and Collin Helma of Freeman; and her aunt Ione Tieszen of Freeman.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Zion Lutheran Church (101 S Seaman St, Delmont, SD 57330). A prayer was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
