He is survived by: his wife Ruth Jones; his children, Gwen Highfill (Ed) of Richmond, TX, Teri LaVelle (Peter Nied), Donald Gortmaker and Karen Hofer (Marwin) of Aberdeen, SD; his grandchildren, Sarah, Ciara, Amanda, Brooklyn and Mitchell; and his great grandchildren, Finley, Caidan and Eden.
