He was predeceased by: his parents, Eilert Rand (E. M.) and Annie Rand (Gortmaker Stohr); his wife Evelyn Fay Winkel; his daughter Susan; his brothers, Robert and Marlyn; his sister-in-law Caryl; and his nephew Larry Rand.
He is survived by: his children, Elden (Wendy) and Ryan (Kayla); his close friend JoAnn Garner; his son-in-law Chris Hill; his grandchildren, Maddie, Sophie, Alexis and Alaric Rand; his nephews, James Rand (Sharla) and Richard Rand (Demme); and his niece Kathryn Schmidt (Brian). He is also survived by cousins and great nieces and nephews.
