With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Arvid Magnuson (Parker, South Dakota), born in Pierre, South Dakota, who passed away on April 24, 2018 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Debra; his sisters, Pauline Smith, Bernice and Doris Chambliss; his siblings-in-law, Sam Smith, Bill Chambliss, Orvin Sletto, Dave Schooley, John Koller, Dale Koller, Marlyn Koller, Dennis Koller, Shirley Nolting, Darlene Kehm and Patsy Marso; and his stepson Mike Benney.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Arvid, Elaine Carla, Denise Kay, Misty Irene and Aaron Walter; his wife Gerry; his children, Richard Magnuson of Philadelphia, PA, Elaine Meyers (Kevin) of Draper, SD, Denise Brost (Paul) of Waunakee, WI, Misty Klein (Adam) of Madison, SD and Aaron Magnuson (Darby) of Pierre, SD; his stepchildren, Pat Benney (Pam) of Parker, SD, Kathy Dehring (Fred) of Yankton, SD and Tom Benney (Susan) of Tea, SD; and his siblings-in-law, Dennis Hansen (Betty) of Cherokee, IA, Duane Koller (Paula) of Sioux Falls, SD, Karen Schooley of Casper, WY, Mary Rauk (Rick) of Beaver Creek, MN, Barb Hansen of Yankton, SD and Donna Friman of Loveland, CO. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials maybe directed to the American Cancer Society or the Parker United Methodist Church.
