She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Chaussee and Julia Chaussee; her husband Bill Nissen of Orient, SD; her brother Donny Chaussee; and her great grandchild Emily.
She is survived by: her granddaughter Carolyn; her children, Douglas Nissen (Cathy) of Piedmont, John Nissen (Laurie) of Piedmont, Gordon Nissen (Sandy) of Piedmont and Carolyn Smith (Frank) of Piedmont; her grandchildren, Andrew Nissen (Caitlin), Jacob Nissen (Isabel), Daniel Nissen, Ashley Fraser (Pat), Amanda Pratt (Neil), Stephanie Nissen, Matthew Nissen, Casey Smith (Kenzie), Roland, Rheanna, Libby, Masey, Phoebe, Waylon, Jayden, Riley, Landon, Kaden, Logan, Austin and Emmitt; and her siblings, Marlin Chaussee (Neva) and Lavonne Anderson.
