It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marie Jean Blachford of Orient, South Dakota, born in Arlington, South Dakota, who passed away on November 18, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Delbert Spencer and Agnes Spencer (Brudvig); her daughter Katheryn Fischer; her grandson Eric Robinson; and her siblings, Delores Corbin (Kenneth), Peggy Lorenz (Lyle), Gracie Lorenz (Roger), Delbert Spencer, Jr. and Richard Spencer.
She is survived by: her former spouse Marlin Fischer; her husband Howard Blachford of Orient; her children, Marla Fischer Nelson of Sioux Falls, Jeffrey Fischer (Heidi) of Brookings, Clayton Blachford (Jacqueline) of Northville and Matthew Blachford (Cassandra) of Orient; her grandchildren, Amy Ryan (Joseph), Kyle Fischer (Lindsey), Ambur Zmuda (Tyler), Ryan Fischer, Michael Houtman (Jill), Patrick Houtman (Dottie), Lucas Houtman (Jessica), Aaron Blachford, Tara Blachford, Sean Hauck and Lydia Blachford; her great grandchildren, Keira, McKenzie, Jordin, Ashlin, Autumn, Atlas, Adriyanna, Eleanor, Harrison, Suttyn, Raven, Emma, Ellyn and Brayden; her sister Mary Tyrrell (Bernie) of Sioux Falls; and her sisters-in-law, Marcy Spencer of Huron and Irene Poss (Dan) of Eden.
