He was predeceased by: his parents, George Sprenger and Loyola Sprenger (Anglin); his son Kirby; his mother-in-law Billie Bowar; his nephew Brian Bult; and his niece Laura Jean Peterson.
He is survived by: his wife Sandy Bowar Sprenger of Orient; his daughter Haley; his siblings, Mike (Carol) of Brookings, Gary (Peg) of Orient, Jim (Sharon Rons) of Sioux Falls, Steve (DeAnn) of Pierre, Kathy Sarvis (Gary) of Spearfish, Patty Sprenger (Dave Griffin) of North St, Mary Nelson (Jerry) of Philip, Karen Bult (Vern) of Wahpeton, ND, Deb Peterson (Jim) of Sioux Falls and Carol Sprenger Wagner (Jay) of Early, IA; his sisters-in-law, Anne Beckstrand (Mark) of Sioux Falls, Karen Dickman (Terry) of Sioux Falls, Marlene Dreesen (Mark) of Brockway, MT and Holly Jacobson (Todd) of Harrisburg; and his father-in-law Eugene Bowar (Jeanette).
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM and on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the St. Thomas the Apostle Church (206 10th Ave S, Faulkton, SD 57438). A wake was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
