It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald J. Edgar of Orient, South Dakota, who passed away on March 5, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Waldo P. Edgar and Mary Edgar (Aesoph); his wives, Dolores Pottebaum and Kathy Kindle (Remily); his son Jerald; his grandchildren, Tasha Edgar, Derek Rogers and Aaron Laabs; his siblings, Dick (Mary Angela) and Mary Lou (Richard); and his brothers-in-law, Donald Hiles, Clifford Nowell, Robert Miller, Pat Joyce, David Muellenberg and David Remily.
He is survived by: his children, Dennis of Lakewood, CO, Dean (Beth) of Orient, SD, Jeanine Laabs (Rodney) of Brookings, SD, Tim (Rosario) of Sinai, SD, Jane McCloud (Bruce) of Highmore, SD, Terry (Tam) of Elk Point, SD, Tom (Liz) of Orient, SD, Jim (Tanya) of Chesterland, OH and Joel of Lead, SD; his stepchildren, Stephanie Snyder (Gerry) of East China, MI, Matthew Kindle (Lilibeth) of Keystone Heights, FL and Charlene Shawd (Steve) of Leo, IN; his siblings, Doug Edgar of Redfield, SD, Donna Hiles of Spearfish, SD and Kathy Nowell of Redfield, SD; and his siblings-in-law, Ray Pottebaum of Miller, SD, Norma Miller of Faulkton, SD, Elaine Joyce of Alexandria, MN, Cele King (Frank) of Sioux Falls, SD, Diane Muellenberg of Redfield, SD and Marcia (Joe). He is also survived by 27 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 7 step grandchildren; 14 step great-grandchildren.
