He is survived by: his wife Darlene Pearl Tennant; his children, Jim Carter (Jo) of Onida, Carol Peterson (Errol) of Pierre, Wanda Hauser (Ed) of Onida and Mary Hauser (Hime) of Nashville, KS; and his grandchildren, Angie Nelson (Terry), Eric Peterson (Tarrah), Shonda Schilling (Chad), Jenny Lease (Eric), Rose Hauser, Teri Carter, Cole Hauser (Rachael), Jesse Hauser, Brenda Morris (Jon) and Courtney Hauser. He is also survived by his 11 great grandchildren.
