He is survived by: his children, Francesca Kills Small, Danielle Whirlwind Horse, Cherish Kills Small, Krista Kills Small, Melanie Kills Small, Ellen Kills Small, Tessie Yellow Horse, Carley Plenty Arrows, Jonathan Kills Small, Kerman Kills Small, Jr., Danial Kills Small, Wyatt Blacksmith and Isaiah Crow; his girlfriend Barbara Niess; his siblings, James Kills Small, Carol Krugler (Craig), Hilda Kills Small, Donovan Kills Small, Valerie Kills Small (Marvin Janis), Cissy Big Crow, Renfred Good Lance, Mona Brave, Lori Bagola, Dana Chase (Sam), Albert Brave, Jr., Hunka, Pat and Richard LaRoche; and his aunt Corrine Brave. He is also survived by 32 grandchildren.
