He was predeceased by: his parents, Rupert Osmotherly and Veronica Osmotherly; his sister Edith; his brother-in-law Oliver Romey; and his brother William Osmotherly.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Parsons; his children, David Osmotherly, Larry Osmotherly, Kenneth Osmotherly (Anita) and Nancy Sletto (Derrick); his grandchildren, Tabatha Zimiga, Chantel Hill, Kylee Pourier, Zoey Osmotherly, Kadan Sletto, Hanna Sletto and Erin Osmotherly; his great great grandchildren, Porshia Zimiga, Chevy Zimiga, Ricky Anderson, Teagan Roch, Parker Hill and Stetson Neumann; and his sister-in-law Ethel Osmotherly. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established in James' name to benefit the Oelrichs Volunteer Fire Department to fund a new Fire Hall.
