He was predeceased by: his father George L. Gerig; his son Todd Alan Gerig; his stepson Cody L. Trottier; and his parents-in-law, Angela G. Denny and Louie Denny.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret June Gerig; his daughter Jennifer Jung; his stepchildren, Christina L, Sarah M, Thomas P and Dewayne L; his mother Alice Gerig Cochrun (Dennison); and his siblings, George Gerig (Judy) of Pierre, SD, William (Emy), Alice Caturia of Rapid City, SD and Linda Droppers (Lyle). He is also survived by several grandchildren in SD, MT, and WA: and two great-granddaughters.
