It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Marie Madsen of New Underwood, South Dakota, who passed away on November 3, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Madsen and Irene Schabot Madsen; her brother Jim; and her niece Alicia. She is survived by: her siblings, Kathi Betcher (Curt) of Rapid City, Connie Sanchez (Wilbur) of Lakewood, CO and Kenny Madsen (Cindy) of Box Elder; and her sister-in-law Karen Kay Madsen of New Underwood. She is also survived by three nieces; five nephews; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
A rosary was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 9:15 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (106 S A Ave, New Underwood, SD 57761). A Mass was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to the St. Johns Catholic Church of New Underwood or to a charity of the donor's choice.
