She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Bakken and Olga Bakken (Hanson); her husband Wally; her daughter-in-law Cindy Evenson; and her siblings, Beatrice Popp (Vernon), Donald Bakken (Audrey), Vernon Bakken (Jean), Joe Jr. Bakken (Phoebe), Lyle Aarhus (Pat), Gordon Evenson (Mary), Arlin Evenson (Lorraine), Vernon Evenson (Rosella), Harvey Kraemer (Janice) and Sanford Sorenson.
She is survived by: her children, Janet Kapitan (Jim) of Fargo, Larry Evenson (Marlene) of Richfield, MN, Ron Evenson of Claire City, SD and Julie Koeppe (Leon) of Lake City, SD; and her sisters-in-law, Eileen Sorenson and Diane Sakrismo (Phil). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
