He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Esmay and Zella Beckwith (Esmay); his stepfather Ellis Beckwith (Margaret Esmay); his son Kerry Esmay; his stepbrother Leslie Beckwith; and his grandson Charles Corliss.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Cross; his sister Phyliss Peters (Allen) of Murdo; his stepbrother Ken Beckwith of Lincoln, NE; and his children, Danielle Esmay of Murdo, Eveline Corliss of Sioux Falls, James Esmay (Tammy) of Renner and Eldon Esmay Jr. (Shelli) of Tea. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces.
