It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Jones of Mount Vernon, South Dakota, who passed away on November 22, 2021, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Fern Jones (Jorgensen); his granddaughters, Jonalin Jones and Angela DeRuyter; his sister Mary (Dick Henry); his nephew John Jorgensen; his niece Judy Henry; and his parents-in-law, Corrine Deinert (Walt), Clayton Jorgensen (Mildred) and Richard Jorgensen.
He is survived by: his children, Laura Gerlach of Boise, ID, Ginny Storm (Larry) of Port Orange, FL, Janie DeRuyter (Arnie) of Rock Valley, IA, John Jones (Linda) and Lyndy Peterson (Paul) of Sioux Falls, SD. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren and counting, three great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
