Wesley V. Combs Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wesley V. Combs of Montrose, South Dakota, who passed away on November 17, 2021 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbert Combs and Genevieve "Genny" Combs (Klein); his sister Ruth Branch; his grandson Christopher Combs; his daughter-in-law Elizabeth Combs; his stepmother Hilda Bewley; and his stepbrothers, Robert Bewley and Steven Bewley.

He is survived by: his wife Claudia Mary Sheka of Montrose, SD; his children, Robin Buthmann (George) of Indianola, IA, Denton Combs (Robin Westhoff) of Montrose, SD and Jeanette Carlson (Mark) of LaCrosse, WI; his grandchildren, Allyssa, Wes (Kristin), Gabe, Dalton (Morgan), Natasha, Asher and Aunna; his great grandchild Wesley Jacob; his sisters, Eileen Coker (Chuck) of Burlington, KS, Mary Hamilton (Truman) of Monticello, AR and Louise King (Jerry) of Pottsville, AR; and his stepbrother Alan Bewley (Debbie) of Megargel, TX. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Even after Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinson's Disease became a part of his life in 2018, Wes still enjoyed watching NASCAR Racing and Sunday morning church services from the Cathedral in Sioux Falls.
