It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Duane Kappenman (Montrose, South Dakota), who passed away on April 1, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Duane Kappenman to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Kappenman and Madeline Kappenman; and his brothers, Robert and Jerry. He is survived by: his former wife Mary Joyce Weber of Salem; his wife Joyce Weber Kappenman; his children, Jeff Kappenman (Bev) of Madison Alabama, Russ Kappenman (Lisa) of St. Paul Minnesota, Joan Magnuson (Todd) of Sioux Falls and Janet Cecil (Dan) of Brookings; and his brothers, Keith and Dennis. He is also survived by many cousins, eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
