It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Violet Mae Martin of Mobridge, South Dakota, born in Gettysburg, South Dakota, who passed away on September 3, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hockesson and Christina Hockesson (Schmidtgall). She is survived by: her husband Merle Roy Highland; her former husband Robert Kenneth Martin; her children, William, Scott Highland of Rapid City, SD, Sheila Schmidt (Tim) of Herreid, SD, Pam Schneider (Lyle) of Bismarck, ND and Roberta Martin of Aberdeen; and her stepdaughters, Barb Keough (Dan) of Lakewood Colorado and Becky Welch (Scott) of Portland, OR.. She is also survived by grandchildren (8) step-grandchildren and (11) great grandchildren, (14) step-great-grandchildren.
